Day 2 started with the State and Local Subcommittee chaired by Scott Bach of NJ. We had a good talk about the nuances of the new NJ carry licensing process before the meeting started. The directors present were Walker, Swartz, Rumple, Nyce, Heil, and Sigler. After calling the roll, Sigler motioned to go into executive session, so I had to depart.
The Audit Committee chaired by Charles Cotton met over lunch. The directors present were Coy, Lanford, Lee, Heil, Nyce, Rumple, Walker, Meadows, and Jenkins. Staff present were Ouimet, Frazer, and Rowley. After calling the roll and approving the minutes of the prior meeting, they went into executive session, so I had to depart.
The Legislative Policy Committee chaired by Kane Robinson was next. Jason Ouimet and his team were there from the staff. The directors present were Hiltunen, Hernandez, Journey, Frampton, Craig, Heil, Ellis, Swartz, Heil, Barr, White, Lanford, Hill, Lee, Bach, Rumple, Walters, Prinz, Hammond, Jenkins, Seigler, and a couple who weren’t wearng name tabs and I don’t recognize their faces. After calling the roll and approving the minutes of the prior meeting, they went into executive session, so I had to depart.
The Legal Affairs Committee was the last one for the day. Scott Back chaired the meeting. Frazer and Ouimet were the staff attendees. The Directors present were Hernandez, Swartz, Walker, Nyce, Rumple, Hammond, Barr, Lee, Lanford, Heil, Freidman, Sigler, Cotton, Craig, Coors, Coy, and Jenkins. After calling the roll and approving the minutes of the prior meeting, they went into executive session, so I had to depart.
One item of note, many of the secretaries of these committees were new. A couple from yesterday were also new. Impact from the staff reductions?
I’ll be back tomorrow (probably for more executive sessions…..)
Frank: IMHO if you are a NRA member your ought to be able to sit in these committee meetings. Its beginning to show just how low the NRA has become. As a Benefactor member I expect some benefits better than yearly members but this "Good Ol' BoysClub" needs its leadership thrown out and changed for some better rules and regulations.
Sorry Bastards, Hopefully the AG will use this kind of crap to shut them down so we get all new folks
